University of Miami Miller School of Medicine
The University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine, founded in 1952, was the first medical school in the state of Florida. The Miller School of Medicine is located on the 100-acre University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center complex in Miami. The medical center includes three University-owned hospitals that make up the University of Miami Health System (UHealth): University of Miami Hospital, Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center and Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. Our three primary affiliated hospitals on the campus include Jackson Memorial Hospital, Holtz Children’s Hospital and the Miami VA Medical Center. Miller School faculty members conduct more than 1,700 research projects in basic science and clinical care in facilities totaling more than 500,000 square feet of research space. Along with the M.D. degree, the school offers two specialized B.S./M.D. programs, a combined M.D./Ph.D. program, graduate degrees in nine areas, postdoctoral programs and continuing medical education courses.
Jackson Memorial Hospital
Jackson Memorial Hospital is the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine’s primary teaching hospital. At this unparalleled venue, located in Miami, FL, patients receive care driven by the latest advances in the field and by research conducted at the Miller School of Medicine. Jackson Memorial Medical Center’s Holtz Children’s Hospital is world renowned for its neonatal and pediatrics program. Post-natal care for infants is provided by a team of experienced neonatal and pediatric specialists. The neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) is one of the largest in the country and is staffed by Miller School of Medicine neonatologists.
Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California (USC)
The Keck School of Medicine at University of Southern California is a place of dynamic activity in patient care, scientific discovery, medical and bioscience education, and community service. Located on USC’s Health Sciences Campus, just east of downtown Los Angeles, the Keck School of Medicine is home to the Doctors of USC, nationally recognized physicians practicing in a multitude of clinical specialties.
Established in 1885, the Keck School is the oldest medical school in Southern California.

Childrens Hospital Los Angeles
Founded in 1901, Childrens Hospital Los Angeles is one of the nation’s leading children’s hospitals and is acknowledged worldwide for its leadership in pediatric and adolescent health. The Saban Research Institute at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles is among the largest and most productive pediatric research facilities in the United States, with 88 investigators at work on 171 laboratory studies, clinical trials and community-based research and health services. Childrens Hospital Los Angeles is a premier teaching hospital and has been affiliated with the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine since 1932.
Childrens Hospital Los Angeles and the University of Southern California collaborated to form the Institute for Maternal Fetal Health (IMFH), which is based at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA. The mission of the IMFH is to improve maternal and fetal health outcomes and the quality of life for families through integrated, multidisciplinary care in an atmosphere of compassion and respect. Los Angeles Fetal Therapy is a component of the IMFH that specializes in minimally invasive fetal treatment. |
